Text reads: "The Cadet Band is now the best band in the city. The University is proud of its musical students. Once the band was mobbed and tarred every night. That is all over now. The citizens of Lincoln are thankful; so are the band boys. Practice makes perfect, and the band must have had practice. This is intended as a hint that it is perfect."
