Text reads: "J. J. Pershing, 2nd lieutenant 6th cavalry, who takes charge of the military department, is a graduate from West Point. If appearances are not very deceptive, he will prove very popular with the cadets. He is the brother of the Misses May and Grace Pershing who were students here three years ago."
